Village of Kohler Property Committee October 9, 2023 Chairperson Jason Kwacz called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Roll call was taken: Jason Kwacz, John Winter and Mike Zimmermann were present. Staff members present: Mike Kitzerow, John Willadsen and Cindi Gamb . Public Comment – Jean McShane expressed her concern about the tennis court area be maintained as it currently is with tennis/pickleball courts. Approval of Meeting Minutes from September 11, 2023 – Motion by Mike Zimmermann, second by John Winter to approve the meeting minutes from September 11, 2023. Motion carried. Business 1. Discuss Tennis Court/Pickleball Court Upgrade – Mike has received requests from residents to have permanent pickleball courts at the current tennis courts. There are currently four pickleball courts. Estimate for two tennis courts and six pickleball courts, $90,450. This project will be included in the 2025 budget to upgrade lighting and resurface the courts. 2. Update on Department of Public Works Buildings – estimate on building a new salt shed, $165,000-200,000. Include funds in 2024 budget for this building. Discussed replacing the existing cold storage building. This building will be included in the 2025 or 2026 budget. 3. Update on Pool – on schedule. 4. Discuss Additional Lighting at the School Crossing on Upper Road – the school will be adding lights by the cross walk on Upper Road. Mike is getting pricing for crosswalk sensors. 5. Update on Upper Lost Woods Park Playground – work is progressing at the playground. 6. Recreation Department Quarterly Update – John Willadsen provided an update on the summer programs, tennis, baseball, swimming pool, Klub 55 and Youth Center.
