Village of Kohler Property Committee November 13, 2023 Chairperson Jason Kwacz called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Roll call was taken: Jason Kwacz, John Winter and Mike Zimmermann were present. Staff members present: Mike Kitzerow, Gary Lindow and Cindi Gamb. Public Comment – none. Approval of Meeting Minutes from October 9, 2023 – Motion by Mike Zimmermann, second by John Winter to approve the meeting minutes from October 9, 2023. Motion carried. Business 1. Review and Recommend Ordinance No. 2023-9, An Ordinance Amending Chapter 3.21 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Kohler, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin Updating the Fee Schedule – fees for facility rentals and permits were increased. Motion by Mike Zimmermann, second by Jason Kwacz to table the Ordinance to allow further review of the building permit fees to ensure we are covering our costs. Motion carried. 2. Update on Pool Project – three change orders will be brought to the Village Board for approval for the roof and north side windows. Locker rooms are completed. Elevator needs to be installed after building is enclosed. 3. Discuss Greenfield Drive Pedestrian Crossing Upgrade – discussed the crossing trigger at the crosswalk on Greenfield Drive by the Ebben Field parking. Options: motion activated crossing cost about $14,000; wave over sensor $1,400; leave as is with push button. The committee was in agreement to leave the push button that is currently installed at the crosswalk. Discussed possibly installing speed bumps to slow down the traffic on Greenfield Drive. 4. Accept $1,630.90 Kohler Police Athletic League Donation to Purchase a Gas Detector and Nozzle for the Fire Department – Motion by Jason Kwacz, second by John Winter to accept the $1,630.90 Kohler Police Athletic League donation to purchase a gas detector and nozzle for the Fire Department.
