Village of Kohler Property Committee Meeting October 14, 2024 Chairperson Mike Zimmermann called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Roll call was taken: Mike Zimmermann, Brett Edgerle and Tracy Lyons were present. Staff members present: Mike Kitzerow and Cindi Gamb. Public Comment – none. Approval of Meeting Minutes from September 9, 2024 – Motion by Brett Edgerle, second by Tracy Lyons to approve the meeting minutes from September 9, 2024. Motion carried. Business 1. Review and Recommend 2025 Capital Outlay – Mike presented the capital outlay for DPW and Memorial Building. • Confined space equipment $3300 • Fenwood backflow/valve upgrade $40,000 • Mission control upgrades (18% water/72% sewer) $18,655 • Woodland Road paving and storm sewer upgrades $160,000 • Tracked buggy $22,000 • Truck $150,000 • Floor scrubber $8,000 • Park path improvements $15,000 • Cemetery mulch $32,980 Motion by Brett Edgerle, second by Tracy Lyons to recommend the Village Board approve the capital outlay as presented. Motion carried. 2. Discuss Plan for Woodland Road – Mike reviewed the speed enforcement evaluator. The speed limit is currently 35 mph on Woodland Road. Motion by Brett Edgerle, second by Mike Zimmermann to recommend the Finance Committee approve lowering the speed limit on Woodland Road to 25 mph from Greenfield Drive to County Truck O. Motion carried, but not unanimously. Motion by Mike Zimmermann to recommend the Finance Committee approve installing stop signs on Woodland Road at the intersections with Woodlake Road and Forest Road. Motion died for lack of second.
