Village of Kohler Special Village Board Meeting March 4, 2024 Chairperson Thomas Schnettler called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Roll call was taken: Tom Schnettler, John Winter, Mike Zimmermann, John Ewert, Jason Kwacz and Michael Wandschneider were present. Brett Edgerle joined the meeting via telephone. Staff members present: Mike Kitzerow and Laurie Lindow. Items of concern Regarding the Agenda, Including Public Comment – None. Business 1. Update on Pool Renovation Project and take action on change order request – During demo it was discovered that repairs are needed to the existing lower mud bed below the original pool deck tile. Castellan found that there were two layers of mud bed below the tile and the existing lower layer is in bad condition. The base is not stable, the deterioration was not known before demo of the tile. The work will be completed on a time & materials basis. Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by Michael Wandschneider to approve the change order for repairing the tile bed at a cost not to exceed $22,400. Motion carried. 2. Discuss and take action on pool water feature proposal – Information on this proposal is not available for tonight’s meeting. 3. The Village Board may go into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 19.85 (1) (e) for the purposes of deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons requires a closed session – Negotiation of property transfer – Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by Michael Wandschneider to go into closed session. A roll call vote was taken: John Winter – aye, Mike Zimmermann – aye, John Ewert – aye, Jason Kwacz – aye, Michael Wandschneider – aye, Brett Edgerle – aye, Tom Schnettler – aye. The Village Board went into closed session at 6:08. 4. The Village board may reconvene into open session and may take action on items considered in closed session – Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by Michael Wandschneider to reconvene into open session. Motion carried. The Village Board reconvened into open session at 6:20 and took no action, informational only in closed session.
