POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES February 26, 2024 at 5:00 PM Kronenwetter Municipal Center - 1582 Kronenwetter Drive Room C108 (Fire Department Incident Command Room) 1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER President Doug Schemmel called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. A. Pledge of Allegiance B. Roll Call PRESENT President Doug Schemmel Vice President Chet Rucinski Commissioner Paul Raymond Commissioner David Forsythe Commissioner Lucene Udulutch 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES C. Approve 11/27/2023 meeting minutes. Motion made by Commissioner Forsythe, Seconded by Commissioner Raymond. Voting Yea: Vice President Rucinski, Commissioner Raymond, Commissioner Udulutch Voting Abstain: President Schemmel, Commissioner Udulutch 3. PUBLIC COMMENT None. 4. NEW BUSINESS D. FIRE DEPARTMENT: FULL MEMBERSHIP RECOMMENDATIONS: Discussion and possible action to accept firefighters/first responders as full members of the Fire Department. Fire Chief discussed her recommendations with the Commission members. Motion made by Commissioner Forsythe, Seconded by Commissioner Udulutch to accept the Fire Chief’s recommendation to accept Austin Shulfer, Sean Andraschko, and Alexa Kufalk as full members of the Kronenwetter Fire Department and they are now off their probationary membership. Voting Yea: Commissioner Udulutch, Vice President Rucinski, Commissioner Raymond, President Schemmel, Commissioner Udulutch E. POLICE DEPARTMENT: Discussion and possible action on review and possible revision of current Selection Process for Hiring Police Officers.  The Commission read through and made revisions to the Selection Process for Hiring Police Officers (dated 10/11/2022), along with Chief McHugh. Revisions incorporated into revised document to be reviewed at next meeting. No action taken. 5. ADJOURNMENT Motion made by Commissioner Forsythe to adjourn, Seconded by Commissioner Rucinski.
