determine whether or not displays/exhibits organized by LHMS are insured.
Randy and Bob are meeting tomorrow with Scott Rolfe, Community Forester, New Hampshire Division
of Forest and Lands, to discuss options for replacing the sugar maple tree removed from the Main Street
lawn. An overall assessment of the condition of library trees will be provided by Scott as well. A slab
from the tree was kept. A history of Laconia in a tree project was mentioned, to involve school children
throughout Laconia. Randy and Liz will explore the idea.

first aid kit will be provided for Goss.
Staff member Jamie Dalton has initiated a Thursday afternoon drop-in knitting program, “Purl Jam.”
Library has begun hosting The Lakes Region Art Association’s “Artist of the Month” painting, and will
advertise accordingly.
Tenth anniversary of LPL Building Project is upcoming, and ideas for a donor recognition event were
discussed.
LPL participation in Pumpkin Festival was briefly discussed.
Sunken sewer at lower end of parking lot is scheduled to be replaced this summer. Granite curbing at
