MLK Planning Subcommittee Minutes November 20th, 2019 Laconia City Hall – Rm. 200B Next meeting December 4 th at City Hall Room 200 B at 3 pm Present: Margaret Donnelly, Carol Pierce, David Osman, Rev. Judith Wright, David Stamps. The meeting came to order at 1pm. The minutes of November 6th were approved The group discussed the film “Here I am, Send Me” (vimeo.com/14117023) produced by Mr. Larry Benaquist. It was agreed that the film was very powerful and very appropriate for the MLK Celebration. David Osman agreed to contact Mr. Benaquist and invite him to participate in our celebration and work out some details about program format. The group also discussed possible locations for the celebrations and will finalize at the next meeting on December 4th. Next, the group discussed the idea first proposed by Carol for additional community meetings on Social Justice themes throughout the year. We will continue these discussions once the details of the MLK day program are finalized. David Stamps
