7.I. PL2021-0143MSP; 49 Mechanic Street, Cantin; Proposal To Construct A 35x70 Single Story Storage
Building
Applicant: Tom Cantin was present and explained the application. Proposed is a 35 x 70 building for
parts storage. The building will be wide open with large overhead door. Wood construction with three-
foot-high concrete walls. No vehicles stored, only parts. No offices will be in the building, just parts. The
building will be located where 12 existing parking spots are currently, but with the addition of 42 parking
spaces across the street recently constructed, there shouldn’t be an issue. The applicant will slope the
swale as DPW requested. There will only be lights and heat, not water and no drains. The heat will be
forced hot air and no ducts, fueled with natural gas. Mechanical permit will be needed through the fire
dept. BPS will be the general construction manager and Lyman will do the site work. The applicant will
start the project as soon as possible.
