BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES September 4, 2012 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Cindy Murray, Ron Shriner, Tilara McDonald-Treece and Norm Childress. Absent: Gary Henriott Ed Chosnek, City Attorney, was also present. Mrs. Murray called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mr. Shriner moved for approval of the minutes from the August 28, 2012 regular meeting. Mrs. McDonald-Treece seconded. Passed. NEW BUSINESS No New Business CLAIMS Mike Jones, Controller, presented for Board approval, Claims in the amount of $756,560.61. Mr. Childress moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed. MISCELLANEOUS Special Event Request-Dickens of a Christmas Mrs. Murray presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Special Event Request for Dickens of a Christmas to be held on December 1 & 2, 2012 from 9:00am-9:00pm at Riehle Plaza and the Big 4 Depot. Mrs. McDonald-Treece moved for approval. Mr. Childress seconded. Passed.
