BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES November 12, 2013 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Norm Childress, Dawn Ross and Ron Shriner Ed Chosnek, City Attorney, was also present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mr. Childress moved for approval of the minutes from the November 5, 2013 regular meeting. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. NEW BUSINESS Purchasing Resolution 03-2013 A Resolution to Authorize the Sale of Retired Police Vehicles to the City of Attica, Indiana Rick Morrissey, Purchasing Manager, presented to the Board and recommended approval of Resolution 03-2013 A Resolution to Authorize the Sale of Two Retired Police Vehicles to the City of Attica, Indiana. Mike Jones, Controller, stated that there is a ‘like value’ for both police cars in the amount of $3,000.00. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mrs. Ross seconded. Passed. CLAIMS Mike Jones, Controller, presented for Board approval, Claims in the amount of $1,997,941.07. President Henriott asked if there were any further questions other than the ones that were asked and answered in caucus. Mr. Childress moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed MISCELLANEOUS Event Street Closure Request-Christmas Parade President Henriott presented to the Board and recommended approval of an Event Street Closure Request for the 2013 Christmas Parade to be held on December 8, 2013 from 8:00am-5:00pm on various streets throughout the downtown area. Mrs. Ross moved for approval. Mr. Childress seconded. Passed.
