BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES January 3, 2017 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Norm Childress, Dawn Ross and Ron Shriner Sara Chosnek, Deputy City Attorney, was also present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mr. Childress moved for approval of the minutes from the December 20, 2016 regular meeting. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed. NEW BUSINESS Legal Counsel Amended Resolution 01-2017A Resolution Modifying and Confirming the Resolution Adopted by The City of Lafayette Board of Public Works and Safety on November 29,2016 Sara Chosnek presented to the Board and recommended approval of Amended Resolution 01-2017 A Resolution Modifying and Confirming the Resolution Adopted by the City of Lafayette Board of Public Works and Safety on November 29, 2016. Mrs. Chosnek stated that this resolution amends Resolution 05- 2016 for the reimbursement of costs for the Brown Street Sewer Project. The original resolution contained a scrivener’s error that omitted the description of Phase I of the project. This amended resolution corrects that error and includes Phase I of the project. This amended resolution also includes Exhibit A. Mrs. Ross moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. Fire Department Supplemental Fire Contract-Fairfield Township Lafayette Fire Chief, Richard Doyle, presented to the Board and recommended approval of the Supplement Fire Contract for the Furnishing of Fire Protection and Emergency Services to the Unincorporated Area of Fairfield Township. Chief Doyle stated that the contract is in the amount of $100,000.00 for the northeast portion of town on the other side of the Wildcat Creek. Chief Doyle stated that all their equipment services that area and typically has around 300 calls per year. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mrs. Ross seconded. President Henriott asked if there were any further questions and there were none. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mr. Childress seconded. Passed.
