BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES June 12, 2018 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Norm Childress, Ron Shriner and Dawn Ross President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Murray moved for approval of the minutes from the June 5, 2018 regular meeting. Mrs. Ross seconded. Passed. NEW BUSINESS Engineering Permission to Advertise-2018 Curb and Ramp Replacement Project-Elliott Street Jeromy Grenard, Public Works Director, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Permission to Advertise the 2018 Curb and Ramp Replacement Project for Elliott Street from 9th Street to 11th Street. The publication will run on June 15 and 22, 2018 with the bid opening on July 3, 2018. Mr. Childress moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed. Acceptance to Maintenance-Cobblestone IV Subdivision Bob Foley, Engineering, presented to the Board and recommended approval of an Acceptance for Maintenance for Cobblestone IV Subdivision with Fairfield Contractors. The as-builts have been approved and all of the testing has been complete. The required maintenance bond has been submitted in the amount of $21,163.30. Mr. Childress moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. CLAIMS Tim Clary, Deputy Controller, presented for Board approval, Claims in the amount of $4,560,409.53. President Henriott asked if there were any further questions and there were none. Mr. Childress moved for approval. Mrs. Ross seconded. Passed. MISCELLANEOUS Taxi Cab Permits Police Chief, Patrick Flannelly, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Taxi Cab Permit for Daniel Tierney. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Childress seconded. Passed.
