BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES May 7, 2019 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Amy Moulton and Ron Shriner. Absent: Norm Childress Jacque Chosnek, 1st Deputy City Attorney, was also present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Murray moved for approval of the minutes from the April 30, 2019 regular meeting. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. BIDS UNDER ADVISEMENT Loeb Baseball Stadium President Henriott stated that this item will remain under advisement. RFQ-Guaranteed Savings Contract Providers President Henriott stated that this item will remain under advisement. NEW BUSINESS Purchasing Declaration of Surplus Property-Parks Department Dave Payne, Purchasing Manager, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Declaration of Surplus Property for the Parks Department that includes a 2003 Chevrolet C1500 Pickup Truck VIN# 1GCEC14X53Z278256 City ID#6974 and a 1996 Plymouth Voyager van VIN# 1P4GP44R6TB383750 City ID#6003. The vehicles will be sold or traded in on future vehicle purchases. Mr. Shriner moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. Lafayette Housing Authority Release of Mortgage-1109 Wells Street, Lafayette Indiana Valerie Oakley, Project Manager, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Release of Mortgage for 1109 Wells Street. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Release of Mortgage-2200 N. 20th Street, Lafayette Indiana Mrs. Oakley presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Release of Mortgage for 2200 N. 20th Street. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. Release of Covenant for Deed Restrictions-2200 N. 20th Street, Lafayette Indiana Mrs. Oakley presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Release of Covenant for Deed Restrictions at 2200 N. 20th Street. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed. CLAIMS Tim Clary, Controller, presented for Board approval, Claims in the amount of $1,015,604.18. President Henriott asked if there were any further questions and there were none. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed. MISCELLANOUS Revised-2019 City of Lafayette Holiday Schedule President Henriott presented to the Board and recommended approval of the Revised 2019 City of Lafayette Holiday Schedule. The change includes moving the Columbus Day Observance from Thursday, December 26, 2019 to Tuesday, December 24, 2019. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed.
