BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES October 27, 2020 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray, Amy Moulton, Norm Childress and Ron Shriner. Jacque Chosnek, 1st Deputy City Attorney, was also present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Moulton moved for approval of the minutes from the October 20, 2020 regular meeting. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed. NEW BUSINESS Economic Development Historic Demolition Permit-710 Wyandotte Avenue (Garage Only) John Collier, Economic Development, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Historic Demolition Permit for 710 Wyandotte Avenue Garage Only. The property is within the Highland Park National Historic District. Mr. Collier stated that Dann Keiser, Lafayette Historic Preservation Officer has reviewed the request and determined that the loss of the garage would be a loss to the national historic district and recommends upholding the 60-day waiting period. Mr. Childress moved to uphold the 60-day waiting period. Mr. Shriner seconded. Passed. CLAIMS Tim Clary, Controller, presented for Board approval, Claims in the amount of $5,568,595.53. Mr. Childress asked for an update on the Loeb Stadium Project. Mr. Clary stated that the project is cumulatively 75% complete. President Henriott asked a question on Page 12 regarding the Class A Uniform and Class B Uniform. Deputy Chief Butram stated that the Class A is for dress uniforms and Class B is for daily uniforms. President Henriott asked a question on Page 13 regarding the St. Vincent Wellness and Preventive Care for Indiana PERF Exams. Mr. Clary stated that invoice is for Public Safety Medical for officers that is a requirement for PERF. The invoice is for 3 LPD officers. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Passed.
