BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES October 5, 2021 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Gary Henriott, Cindy Murray and Norm Childress. Absent: Amy Moulton and Ron Shriner Jacque Chosnek, City Attorney, was also present. President Henriott called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Murray moved for approval of the minutes from the September 28, 2021 regular meeting. Mr. Childress seconded. Passed. BID OPENING 2021 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project This being the time set to open bids for the 2021 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project and the following bids were received and opened: Insight Pipe Contracting Harmony, Pennsylvania Base Bid: $1,359,158.00 Alternate #1: $46,500.00 Insituform Technologies Chesterfield, Missouri Base Bid: $1,028,593.70 Alternate #1: $75,033.00 SAK Pipeline Infrastructure O’Fallon, Missouri Base Bid: $1,083,081.25 Alternate #1: $46,155.00 Granite Inliner, LLC Orleans, Indiana Base Bid: $888,438.00 Alternate #1: $48,045.00 Mr. Childress moved to take the bids under advisement for further review. Mrs. Murray seconded. QUOTE OPENING Request for Qualifications-Lafayette Theater Roof Replacement This being the time set to open quotes for the Request of Qualifications for Lafayette Theater Roof Replacement and the following quotes were received and opened: All Seasons Roofing Lafayette, Indiana Quote: $139,310.00 Alternate #1: $6,854.00 Hinshaw Roofing Frankfort, Indiana Quote: $147,525.00 Alternate #1: $5,000.00 Knox Services Lafayette, Indiana Quote: $83,320.00 Alternate #1: $4,000.00 Mr. Childress moved to take the quotes under advisement for further review. Mr. Childress made a comment unrelated to the Claims. President Henriott asked if there were any further questions and there were none. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Childress seconded. Passed.
