BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY MINUTES November 21, 2023 Regular Session: The Board of Public Works and Safety met in regular session on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. in the Common Council Chambers. Members present were: Cindy Murray, Amy Moulton, and Eric Rody. Absent: Gary Henriott and Ron Shriner Jacque Chosnek, City Attorney, was also present. Mrs. Murray called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country. MINUTES Mrs. Moulton moved for approval of the minutes from the November 14, 2023 regular meeting. Mr. Rody seconded. Passed. BIDS UNDER ADVISEMENT Glick Wellfield Improvements Mrs. Murray stated that this item will remain under advisement. NEW BUSINESS Engineering Change Order #2-Kossuth Street Resurface from 4th Street to Earl Avenue Jeromy Grenard, Public Works Director, presented to the Board and recommended approval of Change Order #2 for the Kossuth Street Resurface from 4th Street to Earl Avenue that includes additional sidewalk and restoration. The change order is an increase in the amount of $66,464.68 which brings the revised contract amount to $1,710,827.39. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mr. Rody seconded. Passed. Lafayette Renew Change Order #1-7th Street Storm Sewer Relocation Project Brad Talley, Renew Superintendent, presented to the Board and recommended approval of Change Order #1 for the 7th Street Storm Sewer Relocation Project that includes a quantity adjustment. The change order is a decrease in the amount of $68,760.00 which brings the revised contract to $435,240.00. Mr. Rody moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. Certificate of Final Completion-4th Street Sewer Realignment Project Mr. Talley presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Certificate of Final Completion for the 4th Street Sewer Realignment Project dated September 17, 2023. Mr. Rody moved for approval. Mrs. Moulton seconded. Passed. Board of Public Works and Safety November 21, 2023 Page 2 Amendment #1-2023 Sewer Rehabilitation Project Mr. Talley presented to the Board and recommended approval of Amendment #1 for 2023 Sewer Rehabilitation Project with Wessler Engineering that includes incorporating construction administration fees. The amendment is in the amount of $7,000.00 which brings the revised contract amount to $57,000.00. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mr. Rody seconded. Passed. Contract with Greeley & Hansen-Combined Sewer Overflow Long Term Control Plan Phase II-D High-Rate Treatment Mr. Talley presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Contract with Greeley & Hansen for the Combined Sewer Overflow Long Term Control Plan Phase II-D High-Rate Treatment. The contract includes design of fine screens and dumpster room, pump station. HRT Facility. Electrical building, chemical storage, chemical interconnection. Existing WWTP Improvements, yard piping. Site work, SCADA; and PRLS expansion and force main. The project will be delivered via the performance contracting (Guaranteed Savings Approach) delivery method and the scope of the work includes general design phase, LTCP updates, preliminary design, basis of design report; and final design. The contract is a not-to-exceed amount of $2,944,100.00 and construction will begin Fall/Winter 2024. Mrs. Moulton moved for approval. Mr. Rody seconded. Passed.
