MINUTES OF THE LAFAYETTE COMMON COUNCIL August 6, 2018 REGULAR MEETING The Common Council of the City of Lafayette, Indiana met in regular session on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 20 North 6th Street, Lafayette, Indiana. President Campbell called the meeting to order at 6:30pm. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the flag of our Country Present: Heide, Klinker, Nargi, Reynolds, Brown, Ahlersmeyer, Weast-Williamson, Downing and Campbell City Clerk Cindy Murray and City Attorney Ed Chosnek were present Councilman Brown moved to approve the minutes of the July 9, 2018 council meetings. Councilwoman Ahlersmeyer seconded. Motion passed roll call vote. There were no Claims, Petitions or Communications The Clerk stated the following reports are available in the City Clerk’s Office: Water Works June Monthly Fleet Maintenance June Monthly Police Department June Monthly Lafayette Renew June Monthly No Ordinances for Second Reading No Ordinances for First Reading No Resolutions No Reports of Standing Committees. No Reports of Special Committees. No Report by the Mayor. No Miscellaneous and New Business. Reports of Council: Councilman Downing reported on a recent Potter’s Hollow neighborhood meeting and thanked several Firefighters from Station 5 for bringing equipment and demonstrating uses to the group and LPD Officer French and his canine for having demonstrations for the kids in the area. Public Comment: Lloyd Wells, 3717 Rawlings commended the city for mural projects throughout the area. Perry Barbee, 3700 Redbud spoke regarding the art projects. Councilman Heide moved to adjourn, Councilman Reynolds seconded.
