JOINT PURCHASING BOARD December 16, 2016 The Joint Purchasing Board met on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 9:00am in the Board of Public Works and Safety room, 20 North 6th Street, Lafayette City Hall. Present were: Tom Murtaugh, Cindy Murray and Bob Plantenga. Absent: Mayor Tony Roswarski Also present were: Rick Morrissey, City of Lafayette Purchasing Agent Mr. Murtaugh called the meeting to order. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Mr. Plantenga moved for approval of the minutes from the December 1, 2016 meeting. Mrs. Murray seconded. Motion carried. Recommendation for Award-Gravel, Sand, Limestone & Soils + Ready Mix Crushed Limestone Rick Morrissey, Purchasing Manager, presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice of Award to U.S. Aggregates, Hanson Material Service, and Whitesville Mill Service as suppliers for the referenced aggregate. Purchase orders to be placed in the order of low bid received and up, depending on availability to supply. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Plantenga seconded. Motion carried. Gravel Aggregates Mr. Morrissey presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice of Award to Purdy Materials and Whitesville Mill Service as suppliers for the referenced aggregate. Purchase orders to be placed in the order of low bid received and up, depending on availability to supply. Mr. Morrissey stated that Purdy Materials accidently wrote the loaded price in the delivered column and the delivered price in the loaded column. Legal was advised and allowed Purdy to hand write in the corrected prices since they were the only vendor that submitted this type of bid. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Plantenga seconded. Motion carried. Ready Mix Products Mr. Morrissey presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice of Award to Purdy Concrete as the supplier for the referenced product. Purchase orders to be placed in the order of low bid received and up, depending on availability to supply. Mr. Plantenga moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Motion carried. Soils Mr. Morrissey presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice of Award to Purdy Materials as quoted for Soils in the order of low bid received and up, depending on availability to supply. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Plantenga seconded. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT There was none. With no further business to come before the Board, Mr. Plantenga moved to adjourn.
