JOINT PURCHASING BOARD December 5, 2019 The Joint Purchasing Board met on Tuesday, December 5, 2019 at 4:00pm in the Board of Public Works and Safety room, 20 North 6th Street, Lafayette City Hall. Present were: Cindy Murray, Tom Murtaugh, Bob Plantenga. Absent: Mayor Tony Roswarski. Also present were: Dave Payne, City of Lafayette Purchasing Agent Tom Murtaugh called the meeting to order. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES Mr. Plantenga moved for approval of the minutes from the November 25, 2019 meeting. Mrs. Murray seconded. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS Recommendation for Award-Gravel, Sand, Limestone & Soils + Ready Mix Dave Payne, Purchasing Manager, stated Harsco Environmental submitted a bid for crushed slag aggregate in place of limestone therefore that bid is considered nonresponsive. Crushed Limestone Mr. Payne presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice of Award to U.S. Aggregates Delphi Plant as the supplier for the referenced aggregate. Purchase orders to be placed in the order of low bid received and up, depending on availability to supply and travel time considerations. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Plantenga seconded. Motion carried. Gravel Aggregates Mr. Payne presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice of Award to U.S. Aggregates Swisher Plant and Purdy Materials, Inc. as suppliers for the referenced aggregate. Purchase orders to be placed in the order of low bid received and up, depending on availability to supply and travel time considerations. Mr. Plantenga moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded. Motion carried. Ready Mix Products Mr. Payne presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice of Award to U.S. Aggregates Swisher Plant and Purdy Materials, Inc. as the suppliers for the referenced product. Purchase orders to be placed in the order of low bid received and up, depending on availability to supply and travel time considerations. Mrs. Murray moved for approval. Mr. Plantenga seconded. Motion carried. Soils Mr. Payne presented to the Board and recommended approval of a Notice of Award to Purdy Materials, Inc. as the supplier for the referenced project. Purchase orders to be placed in the order of low bid received and up, depending on availability to supply and travel time considerations. Mr. Plantenga moved for approval. Mrs. Murray seconded.
