REGULAR MEETING OF THE LAFAYETTE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD 3:30 pm 24 August 2020 The City of Lafayette Parks and Recreation Board met in regular meeting at 3:30pm, August 24, 2020. The meeting was held at the Loeb Stadium Construction in order to announce the Board’s decision on the winning bid for the use of Loeb Stadium. The meeting was called to order by Park Board President, Maurie Denney. Board members present were Pat Corey, Dave Mecklenburg and Matt Metzger. Parks Superintendent Claudine Laufman, Parks Director of Operations Jon Miner, Marketing Manager Samantha Haville, and Recording Secretary Jenny Spencer were present. Due to the pending announcement, Mayor Tony Roswarski, City Clerk Cindy Murray, City Council members, Community leaders, Chairman of Lafayette Family Entertainment, Bill Davidson, and Media from WLFI, Star City News, and the Journal & Courier were also in attendance. Upon motion by Dave Mecklenburg, seconded by Matt Metzger, and unanimously carried, minutes of the August 10, 2020 Parks Board meeting were approved. Upon motion of Pat Corey seconded by Dave Mecklenburg, and unanimously carried, General Fund Claims in the amount of $12,684.61, Non-Reverting Fund Claims in the amount of $18,509.17 for a total of $31,193.78 were approved. Upon motion of Dave Mecklenburg, seconded by Pat Corey and unanimously carried the User Agreement between Lafayette Family Entertainment LLC and Lafayette Parks and Recreation was approved.
