OLD BUSINESS 12. ORDINANCES A. SAFETY, ACCOUNTABILITY, FAIRNESS & EQUITY-TODAY (SAFE-T ACT) - ORDINANCE AMENDMENT Summary: Public Act 101-652 is new comprehensive omnibus legislation that is commonly being referred to as criminal justice reform and was signed into law recently by Governor Pritzker. It includes provisions that prohibit local governments from retaliation against whistleblowing and requires the naming of one or more auditing officials. Recommended Action: Motion to approve Ordinance No. 2021-O-___, an Ordinance amending Chapter 8 of Title 1 of the Village of Lake Barrington Village Code. 13. RESOLUTIONS A. FLINT CREEK CORRIDOR RESTORATION PROJECT - OPENLANDS GRANT RESOLUTION Summary: The Village received a $10,000 grant from the ComEd Green Region Program for Citizens for Conservation to help restore the Flint Creek Corridor throughout our Village. Recommended Action: Motion to approve Resolution No. 2021-R-___, a Resolution authorizing and ratifying the participation in the ComEd Green Region Program for the Healthy Hedges Project. 14. NEW BUSINESS A. ILCMA SUMMER CONFERENCE Summary: The Illinois Section of the City/County Management Association typically holds its "summer" conference in June. This year, due to the advance planning requirements, it was decided to hold it in Galena on September 8-10, so that it could be an in-person event once again. Administrator Daulton Lange wishes to attend the conference from September 8-10. Recommended Action: Motion to approve the estimated ILCMA conference expenses. Page 2 of 3 15.
