APPROVED VILLAGE OF LAKE ZURICH TREE COMMISSION June 6, 2023 6:30 PM CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairman Garrison at 6:30 PM ROLL CALL—Present were Kurt Hansen, Kevin Scheiwiller, Tony Harper, Scott Garrison and Village Liaison Shawn Walkington. Absent Mary Kozub PUBLIC COMMENT- None APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Motion made to accept minutes from May 2nd by Commissioner Schweiller, second by Commissioner Harper. All were in favor COMMISSIONERS REPORTS-Commissioner Hansen talked about utilities removing trees to replace lines and what can be done to stop the removals. Chairman Garrison contacted Sarosh Saber about tree plantings at Sarah Adams. He is still waiting for a reply. COMMISSIONER REPLACEMENT— Chairman Garrison discussed the interviews for Commissioner replacement. Decision was made on Matt Spiehkout to replace Commissioner Hansen. His term will begin in August. SPRING TREE PLANTING- Liaison Walkington updated commission on tree planting. St Aubin finished the spring planting.l94 trees were planted in Chestnut corners and Millers Grove. ADJOURNMENT — Motion was made by Commissioner Harper, seconded by Commissioner Hansen adjoum the meeting. Voice votes, AYES have it. MOTION CARRIED Meeting was adjoumed at 7: I 5 PM.
