and body art. Possibly the Board would like to discuss local Pool Rules and Regulations,
when they are done updating the Body Art Rules and Regulations.
4. NEW BUSINESS
4-A. Membership Attendance
Hunt addressed the Board and inquired if the Members would like to have a reminder call the
day before the meeting, to help ensure a quorum.
Novick stated that the Members usually discuss their schedule and availability for the next
meeting, at the end of each meeting. This Board is very reliable to attend and has not had a
problem with lack of quorum. No additional telephone calls are necessary.
5. OLD BUSINESS
5-A. Review of Monthly Inspections - May 13, 2011- June 9, 2011 and
June 10, 2011 -July 14, 2011
Murrieta explained the rating of "Been Better" as first inspection is good, and then the follow-
up inspection is not as good as the previous inspection, the "yo-yo" affect. Some of these
changes are due to a change in ownership/management and many new employees.
Ramada Inn - serves a continental breakfast to their patrons. Ramada has made positive
changes to the way the breakfast food is served.
Novick clarified that the Ramada has an older kitchen with many problems. At one point they
were working on fixing the problems but they seem to have settled into not trying to complete
the upgrades.
Laramie Collegiate Baseball - needs to do some housekeeping. There is a small list of items
that need attention to include the painting of shelves and replace broken door(s).
Pools - will be inspected two times a year. All have installed new pool drain covers, as per
the Virginia Gramme Baker Act. The University of Wyoming (UW) and Laramie Senior High
School (LSH) will be inspected this fall.
5-B. Body Art Rules and Regulations Review (section 7-12, located on pages 10-17)
Murrieta informed the Board that she had investigated and found that 30 days is the most
common spore test time requirement, with a little variation throughout the states.
The Board confirmed that they wanted to continue with reviewing the Body Art Rules and
Regulations because it was more thorough than the current adopted Rules and Regulations.
The Board decided to postpone further discussion on the Autoclave until Burman could
provide her expertise.
MOTION BY MILAM, second by Allais to table the review of the Body Art Rules and
Regulations.
Aye:4
Nay: 0
Motion carried.

5-C. FDA Standards - Review
Mario Seminara, Rocky Mountain Region Retail Food Safety Specialist plans to be in
Laramie in September. Murrieta asked the Board if they were interested in continuing with
the volunteer FDA Standards.
Seminara can review the FDA Standards with us and let us know where we are with them.
Murrieta pointed out some facts of working with the FDA Standards:
* The FDA Standards is a volunteer program
* Working with the program allows access to the online training
* The program does not cost the City of Laramie any money
* Food Rules and Regulation states the Health Specialist will comply with the FDA
Standards
@ The program gives guidance For the Health Specialist
* It may take a while to work through the Standards
Murrieta offered to review the following:
* The Food Procedures and Policies For the FDA Standards
* The FDA Standards 1-8 to determine which have been completed and which are
being worked on
* The Body Art Rules and Regulations
