DDA Board of Directors Minutes Friday, September 16, 2022 at 12:00 PM 27400 Southfield Road, Lathrup Village, Michigan 48076 1. Call to Order at 12:04 pm Present: Bryan Ford, Charlotte Jones, Bobbi Lovins, Fred Prime, Pam Shermeyer Absent: Kelly Garrett, Scott McKee, Dan Sugg Staff: Susie Stec, Pam Bratschi, Brittany Dorsey Public: Karen Miller Motion to excuse Garrett, McKee, and Sugg by Lovins, seconded by Ford. All in favor. 2. Approval of Agenda Motion to approve the agenda by Lovins, seconded by Jones. All in favor. 3. Approval of Minutes Motion to approve 2022 06 22 DDA Board of Directors Special Meeting minutes by Ford, seconded by Shermeyer. All in favor. 4. Financial Review Bratschi provided an overview and informed the Board that we are still awaiting the audit results, which will be provided once received. Bratschi suggested exploring investment options for the fund balance including a higher yield CD. Motion to receive & file July 2022 Financial Reports by Ford, seconded by Shermeyer. All in favor. Motion to receive & file August 2022 Financial Reports by Lovins, seconded by Jones. All in favor. 4. Committee Reports Dorsey provided an update on the Promotion Committee activities. 6. Other Business A. September CED Report: Stec provided an update. B. September Code Enforcement Reports: Stec provided an update. Board suggested including an introduction in the e-newsletter to make sure people are aware this person is an asset to the community. 7. Old Business None. 8. Recommendation - DDA Director Salary: Prime provided an overview of the Executive Committee meeting discussion regarding the DDA Director salary. Motion to approve an increase in DDA Director Stec’s salary to $80,000, effective immediately by Ford, seconded by Lovins. All in favor. 9. Public Comment (speakers are limited to 3 minutes) Miller commented on event banners, DDA partners, and staff compensation. 10. Adjourn 1:06 pm by Shermeyer, seconded by Lovins.
