COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG June 11, 2015 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Fox, Mayor Keith Durham, Council Member Sevier, Council Member Williams and Council Member Moore. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the May 28, 2015 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed unanimously. City Administrator, Chris Shaffer informed the Council interviews for the Parks and Recreation position will begin June 15; and congratulated Gary Hyde and the Sanitation Department for receiving the 2015 Governor’s Stewardship Award for Solid Waste Management. ORDINANCE(S) ORDINANCE NO. 1158 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1144 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2014-2015 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE. First Reading Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. RESOLUTION(S) 2015-11-6A A RESOLUTION FOR BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO APPOINT LETISHA GRAYSON TO COMPLETE THE TERM OF VIRGIL SMITH ON THE HOUSING AUTHORITY BOARD Motion to approve was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. 2015-11-6B RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND PROVIDING THE DETAILS OF NOT-TO-EXCEED $5,000,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, SERIES 2015D, OF CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE, AND PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF AD VALOREM TAXES IN CONNECTION THEREWITH Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Upon roll call vote all Council Members and Mayor Durham voted aye. Motion passed unanimously. 2015-11-6C A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO AUTHORIZE THE AMENDMENT OF RESOLUTION 2015- 26-2B FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIVE VEHICLES FOR THE LAWRENCEBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT TO AMEND THE AMORTIZATION STATEMENT WITH FIRST VOLUNTEER TO INCLUDE $6,722.92 OVER A PERIOD OF FOUR YEARS Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. 2015-11-6D A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO ACCEPT THE BID FROM MID SOUTH EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT AS QUOTED FOR 61 AIR PACKS (SCBA) AND 34 ADDITIONAL MASKS AND OPTIONS FOR AIR PACKS (SCBA) AND FIREFIGHTER SAFETY FOR THE LAWRENCEBURG, ETHRIDGE AND NEW PROSPECT FIRE DEPARTMENTS Motion to approve was made y Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed unanimously. With no further business to come before the board motion was made by Council Member Moore to adjourn, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed.
