COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG December 23, 2015 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Fox, Mayor Keith Durham, Council Member Williams, and Council Member Sevier. Council Member Moore was absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the December 10, 2015 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. Mayor Durham presented Joe Baxter an award from the City of Lawrenceburg for his work in creating and completing the Flood Control Project. ORDINANCE(S) ORDINANCE NUMBER 1167 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NUMBER 1033 ESTABLISHING THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT AND USE OF REVENUE FOR SAID DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE. Second and Final Reading Motion to pass on final reading was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1168 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO 1127 AND ORDINANCE NO. 1090 ENTITLED THE “PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS” OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, AND TO AMEND SECTION V, - BENEFITS; U. RETIREMENT PLAN HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE AT RETIREMENT OF THE LAWRENCEBURG MUNICIPAL CODE. First Reading Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1169 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1161 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2015-2016 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE. First Reading Motion to pass on first reading was made by Council Member Sevier with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. RESOLUTION(S) A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO ACCEPT THE BID FROM NEW WAY EQUIPMENT FOR TWO (2) FRONT END LOADER GARBAGE TRUCKS FOR USE IN THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT Motion to amend the resolution to change the bid from New Way to Municipal Equipment was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed. Motion to approve the resolution as amended was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO ACCEPT THE BID FROM MUNICIPAL EQUIPMENT FOR UP TO 450 FRONT END LOAD CONTAINERS FOR USE IN THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT Motion to approve was made by Council Member Sevier with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO ACCEPT THE BID FROM MUNICIPAL EQUIPMENT FOR (1) ONE FRONT END LOAD CONTAINER CARRIER IN THE AMOUNT OF $95,118.00 FOR USE IN THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT Motion to approve was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO CONVEY LAWRENCEBURG UTILITY SYSTEM PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2009 LIBERTY AVENUE, LAWRENCEBURG, TN TO ASSURANCE OPERATIONS CORPORATION Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AND ACCEPT THE DONATION AND TRANSFER OF A 1996 TRUCK FROM TONY JOHNSON TO BE USED FOR ANIMAL CONTROL Motion to approve was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Williams.
