COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG November 10, 2016 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Fox, Council Member Sevier, Council Member Williams, and Mayor Durham. Council Member Moore was absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order by Mayor Durham. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the October 27, 2016 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Williams second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. Mayor Durham announced the closing if city offices on November 11 for Veterans Day and that the annual Veterans Day Parade starts at 11:00 a.m. on that date. He also added a thank you from Pat Ford, the Mayor of Pulaski to the Lawrenceburg Fire Department for their assistance in the fire. LUS Financials for September, 2016 were accepted. Public Hearing opened for Ordinance Number 1184, with no one wishing to address the Council the hearing closed. ORDINANCE NO. 1184 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NUMBER 789 ENTITLED THE “ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE” Second and Final Reading Motion to approve on second reading was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1185 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1179 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2016-2017 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE FIRE DEPARTMENT. Second and Final Reading Motion to approve on final reading was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously RESOLUTION(S) A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO REQUEST ADDITIONAL GRANT FUNDING FROM THE TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION DOWNTOWN REVITALIZATION PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $179,950.00 FOR ADA COMPLIANCE (Agreement Number 160137 – Project ID Number 123121.00) Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO REAPPOINT GARY HYDE AS THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG REPRESENTATIVE ON THE REGIONAL SOLID WASTE PLANNING BOARD Motion to approve was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO DECLARE CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT AS SURPLUS TO BE SOLD AT AUCTION ON THE WEB OR DISPOSED OF OTHERWISE Motion to approve was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE, TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF A 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 CREW CAB FROM MIKE JAMES, LORETTO TENNESSEE FOR USE BY THE LAWRENCEBURG PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT. Motion to approve was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. City Attorney, Alan Betz congratulated the recently re-elected Council Members Fox and Sevier. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Williams with a second by Council Member Fox. Meeting adjourned. Meeting adjourned.
