COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG February 22, 2018 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Fox, Council Member Sevier, Council Member Williams, Council Member Moore, and Mayor Durham. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the February 8, 2018 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. City Administrator, Chris Shaffer, thanked the community for all their help this last week with the Fire Department and their loss of Jason Dickey. He has spoken to Terry Beecham about assisting the Codes Department on grass and yard clean-up for spring. It will be four to six weeks before we are working on the street level offices, so bear with us finishing the tax season on the first floor or better known as the basement. Fire Chief Jay Moore answered the Council’s question on progress with the expansion of the fire station. And thanked everyone for everything done this last week. (TABLED) A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ATTACHED LIST OF NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS BY THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG DURING THE 2017-2018 FISCAL YEAR City Attorney Betz informed the Council a motion to take the tabled resolution off the table. A motion to take the resolution off the table was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Fox. With the resolution off the table Attorney Betz read the resolution for passage. A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ATTACHED LIST OF NON -PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS BY THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG DURING THE 2017-2018 FISCAL YEAR Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Meeting adjourned. Meeting adjourned.
