COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG March 8, 2018 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Fox, Council Member Sevier, Council Member Williams, and Council Member Moore. Mayor Durham was absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the February 22, 2018 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed unanimously. LUS Financials have been accepted for January, 2018. City Administrator, Chris Shaffer congratulated Don Laws for being the recipient of the United States Attorney General Award for Excellence in Law Enforcement. Council Member Sevier challenged the city and county to fill up the auditorium for the Bill Anderson Show because of the local talent James Gordon Freeze playing with the band. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT TO AUDIT ACCOUNTS WITH THE ACCOUNTING FIRM OF YEARY, HOWELL AND ASSOCIATES FOR THE PERIOD FROM JULY 1, 2017 TO JUNE 30, 2018. Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE, TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF TWO CHEVROLET TAHOE’S (2009-2010) FROM MISSOURI AUTO AUCTION FOR USE BY THE LAWRENCEBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT. Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Fox. Meeting adjourned. Meeting adjourned.
