COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG April 25, 2019 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Mayor Lay, Council Member Fox, Council Member Williams, Council Member Sevier and Council Member Moore. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the April 11, 2019 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. Mayor Lay presented a Lifetime Membership to the Historical Zoning Commission to Bobby Alford for his work on the Board and all other services he has performed on behalf of the City of Lawrenceburg. Mayor Lay and Council Member Sevier praised the Parks and Recreation Department and the Public Works Department on the work they have performed on the maintenance of the ball fields in Bobby Brewer Park. ORDINANCE NO. 1263 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1241 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2018-2019 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT- Second and Final Reading Motion to approve on second and final reading was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1264 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1241 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2018-2019 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT- Second and Final Reading Motion to approve on second and final reading was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1265 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NUMBER 789 ENTITLED THE “ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE” Cecil Leon and Mary Alice White from R-4 to C-3 – First Reading Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1266 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NUMBER 789 ENTITLED THE “ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE” William L. and Pauline Powell Marsh from C-3 to R-3 – First Reading Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1267 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NUMBER 789 ENTITLED THE “ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE” Larry and Linda Braswell from R-2 to C-4 – First Reading Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Sevier with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1268 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO REGULATE AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR, PAINT AND BODY SHOPS WITHIN THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE First Reading Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1269 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO ADOPT RESTRICTIONS ON PLACEMENT AND STORAGE OF INDOOR FURNITURE OUTDOORS First Reading Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Fox, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. RESOLUTION(S) A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO AUTHORIZE EXCESS OPERATION FUNDS IN THE LAWRENCEBURG SANITATION DEPARTMENT BE PLACED IN A LOCAL GOVERNMENT INVESTMENT POOL ACCOUNT (LGIP) Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT OF SALE WITH JOHN HILL FERGUSON REGARDING THE SALE OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1203 N LOCUST AVENUE, LAWRENCEBURG TN AND COMMONLY KNOWN AS LAWRENCEBURG FIRE STATION 2 Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed.
