COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG January 23, 2020 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Fox, Mayor Lay, and Council Member Moore; Council Member Robin Williams and Council Member Sevier With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the January 9, 2020 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. Fire Chief, Jay Moore, updated the Council on drone use in the search for a 15 year old. Several local agencies assisted in the drone search. Sanitation Department Manager, Gary Hyde, informed the Council on the progress of the landfill application. A public hearing will be held on February 20, at 4:30 PM at the Police Department Training Room. ORDINANCE NO. 1283 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1275 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2019-2020 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE FINANCE DEPARTMENT. First Reading Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO DECLARE CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT AS SURPLUS TO DISPOSED OF IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG PURCHASING POLICY Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE, TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF A 2019 CHEVROLET SILVERADO LD 15 FROM WILLIAMS AUTO SALES FOR USE BY THE LAWRENCEBURG PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO APPLY FOR A COMMUNITY PLANNING TRANSPORTATION GRANT TO PROVIDE A COMPLETE STREET PLAN STUDY Motion to approve was made by Council Member Fox, with a second with Council Member Moore. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO AUTHORIZE THE LAWRENCEBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT TO DONATE A SURPLUS VEHICLE TO ETHRIDGE FIRE AND RESCUE Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second with Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed.
