CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG COUNCIL SPECIAL CALLED MEETING MINUTES MAY 22, 2020 The Board of Mayor and Council met in special session. The following members were present: Council Member Fox, Mayor Lay, Council Member Robin Williams, Council Member Sevier and Council Member Moore. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Legal Issues - City Attorney Betz introduced a resolution for the Fire Department to apply for a grant. RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO AUTHORIZE THE LAWRENCEBURG FIRE DEPARTMENT TO APPLY FOR A STAFFING FOR ADEQUATE FIRE AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE (SAFER) GRANT THROUGH FEMA TO HIRE FOUR FULL TIME FRONTLINE FIREFIGHTERS FOR A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS GRANT APPLICATION NUMBER EMW- 2019-FF-01681 Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. With the completion of the business for the Special Called Meeting motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier.
