COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG June 25, 2020 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The meeting was also held by teleconference. The following members were present: Mayor Lay, Council Member Robin Williams, Council Member Sevier, Council Member Moore and Council Member Fox. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the June 11, 2020 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. Michele Gantz and Chantel Snider with Lawco Social addressed the Council concerning their non- profit volunteer organization. Their goal to continue hosting Freedom Fest and other free activities the citizens of Lawrenceburg have enjoyed over the years. PUBLIC HEARING ON ORDINANCE NUMBER 1293 WAS OPENED. With no one wishing to address the Council on the Ordinance, hearing closed. ORDINANCES ORDINANCE NO. 1292 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO AMEND ORDINANCE 1202 TO ESTABLISH FEES ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF FACILITIES THROUGH THE LAWRENCEBURG PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT – Second and final reading Motion to approve on second reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. ORDINANCE NO. 1293 AN ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET AND TAX RATE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 2020 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2021 – Second and final reading Motion to approve on second reading was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. RESOLUTION(S) A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO SELL CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT AS SURPLUS TO POLLARD RESIDENTIAL SERVICES IN SENOIA, GEORGIA Motion to approve on second reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed.
