COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG July 9, 2020 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The meeting was also held by teleconference. The following members were present: Mayor Lay, Council Member Sevier, Council Member Moore and Council Member Fox. Council Member Williams was absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the June 25, 2020 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. Chief of Police, Terry Beecham, gave a report on his department. LUS Financials for May, 2020 have been accepted. RESOLUTION(S) A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO ENTER INTO AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT IN LIEU OF PERFORMANCE BOND AS IT RELATES TO THE PROPER OPERATION AND CLOSURE/POST CLOSURE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG DEMOLITION LANDFILL, REGISTRATION NUMBER DML500000024 LATERAL EXPANSION Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO ENTER INTO AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT IN LIEU OF PERFORMANCE BOND AS IT RELATES TO THE PROPER OPERATION AND CLOSURE/POST CLOSURE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG DEMOLITION LANDFILL, REGISTRATION NUMBER DML500000129 LATERAL EXPANSION Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND PROVIDING THE DETAILS OF NOT-TO- EXCEED $7,525,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION REFUNDING BONDS, SERIES 2020, OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE, AND PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF AD VALOREM TAXES IN CONNECTION THEREWITH Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Upon a roll call vote motion passed unanimously with all present voting aye. Council Member Moore -Aye Council Member Sevier –Aye Mayor Lay – Aye Council Member Fox - Aye With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Fox.
