COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG February 10, 2022 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Sevier, Mayor Lay, Council Member Moore, Council Member Williams and Council Member Fox. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the January 27, 2022 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Williams with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. LUS Financials for December, 2021 were accepted. HR Director, Doug Edwards, gave an update on HR and Insurance. Fire Chief, Jay Moore, gave an update on the Fire Academy. Alicia Harris, with the Drug Coalition informed the Council of a meeting on May 11, at 11am until 1:30 pm at the College PUBLIC HEARING on ORDINANCE NUMBER 1328, opened and with no one wishing to address the Council, the hearing closed. ORDINANCE(S) ORDINANCE NO. 1328 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NUMBER 789 ENTITLED THE “ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE” Second Reading- Lawrenceburg Development Corporation Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. RESOLUTION(S) A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ATTACHED LIST OF NON- PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS BY THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG DURING THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH COLLIER ENGINEERING COMPANY INC. TO SERVE AS AN ON CALL ENGINEERING SERVICE AS NEEDED PER -PROJECT BASIS Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO AUTHORIZE THE LAWRENCEBURG FIRE DEPARTMENT TO APPLY FOR A FIRE PREVENTION AND SAFETY (FP&S) GRANT THROUGH FEMA TO PURCHASE FIRE PREVENTION AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT. Motion to approve was made by Council Member Sevier with a second by Council Member Fox. Motion passed unanimously. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed.
