COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG May 12, 2022 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Mayor Lay, Council Member Sevier, and Council Member Williams. Council Member Fox and Council Member Moore were absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the April 28, 2022 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Williams with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. Mayor Lay informed everyone about the loss of J.W. Welch and his wife Ruby. They died within two days of each other and their funeral will be together this Friday. ORDINANCE(S) ORDINANCE NO. 1335 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1317 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE GENERAL FUND. Motion to approve on second and final reading was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed. ORDINANCE NO. 1336 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1317 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE FIRE DEPARTMENT. First Reading Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed. RESOLUTION(S) A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT TO AUDIT ACCOUNTS WITH THE ACCOUNTING FIRM OF BLANKENSHIP CPA GROUP, PLLC FOR THE PERIOD FROM JULY 1, 2021 TO JUNE 30, 2022. Motion to approve was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO REPLACE FAIR SIDE PARK PLAYGROUND BY ACCEPTING THE GRANT FROM BLUE CROSS TO BE CALLED BLUE CROSS HEALTHY PLACE PLAYGROUND AT ROTARY PARK Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned.
