COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG May 26, 2022 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Sevier, and Council Member Williams. and Council Member Moore. Council Member Fox and Mayor Lay were absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the June 12, 2022 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Moore a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. The Public Hearing was opened for comments on Ordinance 1334, with no one wishing to comment the Public Hearing closed. City Offices closed for Memorial Day, with residential trash being picked up on Thursday. ORDINANCE(S) ORDINANCE NO. 1334 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NUMBER 789 ENTITLED THE “ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE” Second Reading Motion to approve on second and final reading was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed. ORDINANCE NO. 1336 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1317 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE FIRE DEPARTMENT. Second Reading Motion to approve on second and final reading was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed. ORDINANCE NO. 1337 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO 1090 ENTITLED THE “PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS” OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, AND TO AMEND SECTION V, - BENEFITS; B. HOLIDAYS – First Reading Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed. ORDINANCE NO. 1338 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1317 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE GENERAL FUND – First Reading Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed. ORDINANCE NO. 1339 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1317 ENTITLED BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE SANITATION FUND – First Reading Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed. RESOLUTION(S) A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO AUTHORIZE ALAN BETZ AND CHAD MOORE AS SIGNATORIES ON ACCOUNTS FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG. Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Jamie, with a second by Council Member Williams. Motion passed. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO APPOINT BLAKE LAY AS THE INTERIM LAWRENCEBURG CITY ADMINISTRATOR AS OF JUNE 8 UPON RETIREMENT OF CURRENT CITY ADMINISTRATOR CHRIS SHAFFER Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed. A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE, TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF A 2015 CHEVY ¾ TON LT FROM BOBBY NEWTON AUTO SALES, LAWRENCEBURG FOR USE AT THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT. Motion to approve on first reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed. With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned.
