COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG
October 31, 2022
The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session.
The following members were present: Council Member Williams, Council Member Moore,
Mayor Lay and Council Member Council Sevier were present. Council Member Fox was absent.
With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the
Pledge of Allegiance.
Motion to approve the minutes of the October 14, 2022 Council Meeting was made by Council
Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously.
Mayor’s Announcements and Business – City offices closed on Friday, November 11 in honor of
Veterans Day - Residential trash will be picked up on Thursday, November 10.
ORDINANCE NO. 1348
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1340 ENTITLED BUDGET
APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2022-2023 FISCAL
YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE GENERAL FUND – Parks
Master Plan Study – Collier Engineering Second Reading
Motion to approve on second reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by
Council Member Williams. Motion passed unanimously.
ORDINANCE NO. 1349
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO.1340 ENTITLED BUDGET
APPROPRIATIONS OF REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE 2022-2023 FISCAL
YEAR FOR THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE POLICE DEPARTMENT 1033
PROGRAM AND DRUG FUND – Second Reading
Motion to approve on second reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by
Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously.

Public Hearing on Ordinances 1350, 1351 and 1352 will be held at 9 AM November 23, 2022.

A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN LAWRENCE
COUNTY AND THE TENNESSEE BOARD OF REGENTS ON BEHALF OF COLUMBIA
STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member
Sevier. Motion passed unanimously.
A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE, TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF A 2023
CHEVY TAHOE FROM WILSON COUNTY MOTORS, LEBANON TENNESSEE FOR
USE BY THE LAWRENCEBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT
Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member
Sevier. Motion passed unanimously.
A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE, TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF A 2023
FORD F-150 CREW CAB 4WD PICKUP FROM FORD OF MURFREESBORO FOR
USE BY THE LAWRENCEBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT
Motion to approve was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member
Williams. Motion passed unanimously.
A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE, TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF A 2023
FORD F-350 4WD TRUCK FROM FORD OF MURFREESBORO FOR USE BY THE
LAWRENCEBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT
Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member
Sevier. Motion passed unanimously.
With no further business to come before the board motion to adjourn was made by Council
Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed.
