COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG February 9, 2023 The Board of Mayor and Council met in regular session. The following members were present: Council Member Williams, Council Member Moore, Mayor Lay, and Council Member Sevier. Council Member Fox was absent. With a quorum present the meeting was called to order. The meeting opened with Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to approve the minutes of the January 26, 2023 Council Meeting was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed unanimously. LUS Financials for December, 2022 were approved. City Administrator, Dick McKinley gave a brief report on city business and asked Chris Bryant to inform the Council on what is coming down the pipe for growth and construction within city limits. ORDINANCE(S) ORDINANCE NUMBER 1356 AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON A 0.06 ACRE SECTION OF CUL DE SAC OFF THE SOUTH SIDE OF MOTIVATION DRIVE; RETENTION OF UTILITY EASEMENTS; REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; EFFECTIVE DATE Motion to approve on final reading was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Sevier. Motion passed. RESOLUTION(S) 2023-9-2A A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ATTACHED LIST OF NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS BY THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG DURING THE 2022-2023 FISCAL YEAR Motion to approve was made by Council Member Sevier, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed unanimously. 2023-9-2B RESOLUTION TO APPROVE PILOT (PAYMENT-IN-LIEU-OF-TAX) AGREEMENT AND LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT BOARD OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG AND SOUTH EAST CARRIERS, INC. – Repealed February 23, 2023 before 2-9-2023 minutes were approved. Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed unanimously. 2023-9-2C A RESOLUTION FOR THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCEBURG, TENNESSEE TO AUTHORIZE THE LAWRENCEBURG FIRE DEPARTMENT TO APPLY FOR THE FY 2022 ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS GRANT (AFG) TO PURCHASE FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT Motion to approve was made by Council Member Williams, with a second by Council Member Moore. Motion passed unanimously. With no further business to come before the Board motion was made by Council Member Moore, with a second by Council Member Williams to adjourn. Meeting adjourned.
