Hooper-Renwick Minutes Date: Tuesday, October 19, 2021, meeting commenced at 6:00 p.m. Subject: HRLPC Chairwoman Theresa Bailey presiding In attendance: 1. Chairwoman Theresa Bailey 2. Vice-Chair Joyce Moore 3. Secretary Coni Brown 4. Assistant Secretary Dr. Vivian Daniel 5. Rev. Dr. Ronald Dunnigan 6. Gary Glenn 7. Dr. John Maxey 8.Gwendolyn Taylor 9.Marlene Taylor-Crawford Members Absent: 10. Rory Johnson, 11. Greg Lott and 12. Rubye Neal Also in attendance were Chuck Warbington, City Manager, Council Members - Victoria Jones, Mayor Pro Tem and Glenn Martin, Cammie Fulmer, Interpretive Resources Project Coordinator, Paula Foil, Executive Assistant and Kyle Parker, IT, Jason DiFranco, Director of Development and Community Partnership, Gwinnett Library Foundation. Opening Prayer: Ms. Taylor-Crawford Quorum Intake taken and obtained: Vice-Chair Moore Norms acknowledged by Dr. Daniel. Meeting minutes from September 21, 2021 were approved and adopted, with corrections. Old Business: Update on Gathering of Artifacts by Vice-Chair Moore  Vice-Chair Moore gave an account of artifacts that has been collected, with no new updates to report  IRPC Fulmer reported that the donation of the Baby Grand piano by Dr. Maxey’s family has been secured and stored by the County.  Ms. Fulmer gave an account of artifacts reporting that the Nela Vintrlikova, an Intern from Gwinnett School of Math, Science and Technology (GSMST), will meet with the sub-committee, Vice-Chair Moore, Secretary Brown and Ms. Neal, to continue a deep- dive into historical research regarding Hooper-Renwick. Project Status Updates  Mr. Warbington stated that there are no project updates at this time except that Mr. Cris Gray, Project Manager (PM), has resigned and the County has hired a new PM, Mr. Marc LeBlanc. He stated that Commissioner Marlene Fosque will introduce the new PM at the November 2021 meeting. Hooper-Renwick Minutes  The annual Gwinnett Library Foundation GALA - While the GALA is not a part of Hooper-Renwick’s agenda, Chairwoman Bailey noted that the following committee members attended the GALA: Vice-Chair Moore, Secretary Brown, Dr. Maxey, and Ms. Taylor-Crawford. She also noted that the HRLPC represented by five additional guests. They were Ms. Angela Maxey, Ms. Carolyn Carter, Ms. Gloria Ward, Ms. Dedra Walker Howard, and Ms. Bernice Bailey. New Business – Allow Me to Introduce Myself New series implementation whereby each member of HRLPC will give a brief synopsis of their connection to Hooper-Renwick. In the absence of Ms. Neal and Mr. Johnson, who were scheduled to present, we heard from the following members:  Dr. Daniel  Chairwoman Bailey  Vice-Chair Moore Chairwoman Bailey advised that the following committee members are scheduled to present November.  Ms. Rubye Neal  Mr. Rory Johnson  Rev.
