Meeting was called to order at 6:07 p.m.

Shelter Statistics/ Managers report
The discussion was led by Jasmine.
Year to Date totals for the shelter:
• 1778 total intake. Canine live release rate is 99%; Feline is 92.7%
• 9,955 volunteer hours have been logged by 243 volunteers
• 44,120 foster hours have been logged by 503 fosters
New programs launched:
• Home to Home™ Program
• Science Diet Program
Over $5,715.00 was donated by the community to care for Scout (the dog injured on I-45). The shelter is
seeking a foster for Scout.
Calendar of upcoming events was reviewed.
Dog Park ordinance discussion
Chien Wei, Director of Parks and Cultural Services, was present to join the committee in a discussion on
deciding if creating a dog park ordinance is necessary. The dog park is self-policing and if any problem
arises the Police Department is called. Few problems have happened since the park opened in 2017. At
this time, no changes or ordinance is needed.
Next meeting was set for Wednesday, February 3, 2021
Meeting adjourned at 6:54 p.m.
