City of League City Historic District Commission
Regular Meeting, Thursday, October 21, 2021, 6:00 PM

1. Call to Order and Roll Call of Members
David Hake, Chair, called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m.
Present: David Hake, Ric Pearson, Susan Pierce, Susan Smyer,
Michael Hendershot (non-voting) Absent: JNean Henderson,
City Staff: David Hoover, Executive Director of Planning and Development, Frankie Legaux, Assistant
Director of Planning and Development; Masood Malik, Senior Planner; Janice Norman,
Senior Planner; Michelle Villareal, Deputy City Attorney
2. Citizen Communication
No citizens spoke.
3. Approval of Minutes
A. September 16, 2021, Minutes Susan Pierce made a motion
to approve the minutes. Susan Smyer seconded the motion.
The motion passed by a vote of 4-0-0.
4. Public Hearing and Action Items
A. Hold a public hearing and take action on a Certificate of Appropriateness (HC-21-0008), to elevate and enlarge
the structure, located on the west side of N. Wisconsin between 3rd and 4th Street, with an address of 307
N. Wisconsin.
Janice Norman, Senior Planner gave a presentation on behalf of the City of League City. The applicant
Kevin Moses spoke about his application and made comments to the Commission.
David Hake opened the public hearing at 6:13 p.m. David Hake
closed the public hearing at 6:17 p.m.
Ric Pearson made a motion to recommended approval of the Certificate of Appropriateness (HC-21-0008)
with staff recommendations and to add a condition that aluminum windows be used
that are flush with the structure. Susan Pierce seconded the motion.
The motion passed by a vote of 4-0-0.
5. New Business
A. Approval of the 2022 Historic Commission calendar of meetings.
Ric Pearson made a motion to approve the 2022 Historic Commission calendar of meetings. Susan Pierce seconded the motion.
The motion passed by a vote of 4-0-0.
