The City of Lee's Summit Action Letter Finance and Budget Committee Wednesday, January 19, 2022 7:30 AM Via Video Conference Notice is hereby given that the Finance and Budget Committee for the City of Lee’s Summit will meet in Special Session on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 7:30am via video conference as provided by Section 2-50 of the City of Lee’s Summit Code of Ordinances, adopted by the City Council on June 15, 2021, Ordinance No. 9172. Persons wishing to comment on any item of business on the agenda via video conference may do so by sending a request prior to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, to the City Clerk at clerk@cityofls.net to attend the meeting on the video conferencing platform. The City Clerk will provide instructions regarding how to attend by this method. The meeting may be viewed on the City website at www.WatchLS.net, and various cable providers (Spectrum channel 2, Google TV channel 143, AT&T U-Verse channel 99 and Comcast channel 7) for those whose cable providers carry the City of Lee’s Summit meetings. 1. Approval of Agenda A motion was made by Vice Chair Lopez, seconded by Councilmember Edson, to approve the agenda as published. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4 - Chairperson Johnson Vice Chair Lopez Councilmember Edson Councilmember Shields 4. Public Comments Councilmember Forte expressed her concerns with the questions the Diversity and Inclusion Committees plan to ask 25 local businesses. Business A. BILL NO. An Ordinance approving the award of RFP No. 2022-008, to conduct a Diversity 22-17 and Inclusion Assessment of the City government and community to Hicks-Carter-Hicks, LLC, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same for the City. (F&BC 1/19/2022) ACTION: A motion was made by Councilmember Shields, seconded by Vice Chair Lopez, that TMP-2126 be recommended for approval to the City Council. Roundtable The next Finance and Budget Committee meeting is Monday, February 7, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall in the Council Chambers. 7.
