PLANNING COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING
February 7th, 2024

1. Opening Business:
Welcome by Alan Paystrup
Invocation: Alan Paystrup
Pledge: Christine Carrigan
Present at Meeting: Alan Paystrup, Planning Commission Chairman,
Planning Commissioners: Nathan Washer and Christine Carrigan.
Meeting Recorder: Christine Carrigan, Chantal Rowley
Also Present: Mayor Bruce Rowley, Councilwoman Rachel Goates,
Carol Bennett

a. Approve minutes for the December 13th, 2023, Regular Planning meeting.
Motion to approve made by Christine Carrigan. Second by Nathan Washer
All in favor. Minutes approved.
b. Permit Applications:
New Home- none
c. Planning Commission Meeting Schedule for 2024:
Meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of each month. Motion to approve the
Schedule made by Christine Carrigan. Nathan Washer seconded the motion. Schedule approved.

5. Discussion Items:
a. Open discussion items:
Alan Paystrup will be moving to Missouri at the beginning of March and is stepping down. All in
attendance thanked Alan for his many years of dedicated service.
Christine Carrigan shared the information that the State of Utah has changed the laws regarding Subdivision
Ordinances. The town will need to rewrite its ordinances to be compliant. The Town of Levan has qualified
for a grant of up to $14,000.00 to cover the fees needed to have the ordinances updated. The Hansen
Planning Group is the company that the town has hired to update the ordinances. The Hansen Planning
Group notified the Town that the State Legislators are currently amending last year’s bill with some new
regulations. The Company will proceed with the subdivision ordinance after the legislative session has
ended in March.
6. Adjourn: Motion to Adjourn made by Christine Carrigan. Seconded by Nathan Washer. All in favor
