Planning Commission Meeting

LEVAN TOWN PLANNING COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING March 6th, 2024 7PM 1. Opening Business: Welcome by Nathan Washer Invocation: Rachel Goates Pledge: Nathan Washer Present at Meeting: Nathan Washer, Planning Commission Chairman, Planning Commissioners: Christine Carrigan and Councilwoman Rachel Goates (Acting as Alternate Commissioner) Meeting Recorder: Christine Carrigan Also Present: Mayor Bruce Rowley, Carol Bennett, Conner Lunt, and Jesse Carter. 2. Action Items: a. Approve minutes for the February 7th, 2023, Regular Planning meeting. Motion to approve made by Rachel Goates. Second by Christine Carrigan. All in favor. Minutes approved. b. Permit Applications: New Home- none 3. Reports: Office Issued Permits: None 4. Discussion Items: a. Open discussion items: Christine Carrigan will be stepping down as a Planning Commissioner. This will create two vacancies on the Planning Commission. Jesse Carter and Conner Lunt have expressed an interest in the positions and Mayor Rowley will seek approval to appoint them in the next Town Council meeting on March 14, 2024. b. Subdivision Ordinance Update: Christine Carrigan shared an email update from the Mike Hansen Group that is updating the Town’s Subdivision Ordinance. The State Legislature has introduced a new bill HB476 to that may “clean-up” some language in last year’s bill. The Hansen Group is waiting to see if the bill passes before working on the new codes. The Town has until December, 2024 to update the ordinances. 5. Adjourn: Motion to Adjourn made by Christine Carrigan. Seconded by Rachel Goates.
