Opening ceremonies: The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Mayor Corey Christensen. All present were welcomed. The invocation was offered by Mayor Corey Christensen. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilmember Taryn Brooks. Town Officials present: Mayor Corey Christensen and Councilmembers Bruce Rowley and Taryn Brooks. Councilmember Ray Evans had been called away during the earlier public hearing and returned at 8:25 pm. Councilmember Jesse Richmond was absent. Town Staff present: Elizabeth Hone, Town Clerk Others present: Rebecca Dopp (Times-News) 2. Discussion Items: None 3. Action Items: a. Mayor Corey Christiansen made the annual disclosure that it is the policy of Levan Town not to charge itself for its own utilities. He then read the information about the associated transfers: NOTICE OF ENTERPRISE FUNDS TRANSFERS Because it is the policy of Levan Town not to charge the General Fund for the Town’s utility usage, these charges are transferred back to the General Fund from the respective Utility Fund. This information is for the 2020-2021 FY. ELECTRIC FUND transfer to the General Fund: $1,500 This represents .29% of the fund’s expenditures. WATER FUND transfer to the General Fund: $15,000 This represents 8% of the fund’s expenditures. CABLE/INTERNET FUND transfer to the General Fund: $600 This represents .34% of the fund’s expenditures. GAS FUND transfer to General Fund: $500 This represents .22% of the fund’s expenditures. Mayor/Council Member/Department/Committee Reports: a. Mayor/Council Members: Councilmember Bruce Rowley reported that the splash pad was close to being completed – perhaps 1½ to 2 weeks. Mayor Corey Christensen told the council that he had ordered a plaque for the splash pad acknowledging the contribution from all the ambulance crews. Councilmember Taryn Brooks reported that the stage at the park was coming along nicely. She also said that once the baseball field gets upgraded, there may be the possibility of Nephi Recreation department renting the field for tournaments. 4-H may also want to use the park facilities for day camp. b. Approval of Minutes – May 12, 2021 – Regular Session June 14, 2021 – Work Session Councilmember Taryn Brooks made the motion, seconded by Councilmember Bruce Rowley, to approve the regular session and work session minutes dated May 12, 2021 and June 14, 2021. All council members present were in favor. Motion carried. b. Approval of Claims Councilmember Taryn Brooks made the motion, seconded by Councilmember Bruce Rowley, to approve the Claims dated 5/01/2021 to 5/31/2021. All council members present were in favor. Motion carried. c. Approval of Payroll Comparison Report Councilmember Bruce Rowley made the motion, seconded by Councilmember Taryn Brooks, to approve the Payroll Comparison Report dated 4/01/2021 to 5/31/2021. All council members present were in favor. Motion carried. d. Approval of Final Cash Receipts Report Councilmember Bruce Rowley made the motion, seconded by Councilmember Taryn Brooks, to approve the Cash Receipts Report dated 4/1/2021 to 4/30/2021. All council members present were in favor. Motion carried. e. Review of Tentative Cash Receipts Report The council reviewed the Cash Receipts Report dated 5/01/2021 to 5/31/2021. f. Budget Report Review The council reviewed the budget report for 7/01/2020 to 5/31/2021. 6. Closed Session: Councilmember Taryn Brooks made the motion, seconded by Councilmember Bruce Rowley, to move to a closed session to discuss reasonably imminent litigation. All council members present were in favor. The council moved to closed session at 7:15 pm. Councilmember Ray Evans joined the closed session at 8:25 pm.
