Levan Town Council Work Session
June 14, 2021
7:00 PM
Town Officials present:
Mayor Corey Christensen and Councilmembers Ray Evans, Bruce Rowley, and
Taryn Brooks were present. Councilmember Jesse Richmond was absent.
Town Staff present:
Town Clerk Elizabeth Hone and Treasurer Stephanie Wood.
Others present: None
Welcome:
Mayor Corey Christensen opened the meeting and welcomed all present at
7:00 PM. Councilmember Bruce Rowley offered the prayer.
Approval of Minutes: Town Council Work Session – June 7, 2021
Councilmember Taryn Brooks made the motion, seconded by Councilmember
Bruce Rowley, to approve the Town Council Work Session minutes dated June
7, 2021. All council members present were in favor. Motion carried.
Discussion Items:
1. FY 2022 Budget – Utility Funds: The council went through the revised
items on the tentative budget for the water, electric, gas, and
cable/internet funds. Town Clerk Elizabeth Hone and Treasurer
Stephanie Wood had met with Utility Supervisor Jason Worwood
previously to discuss the changes the council had requested information
about. The rate changes were in line with what the council wanted. The
All present were in favor of the proposed budget.
2. FY 2021 Budget Amendments – All Funds: The town council review
the budget amendments. They decided to add benches and trash cans to
this current year budget. Everything else seemed good.

3. Other discussion:
a. The council determined that they felt ready for the budget public
hearings and regular session on Wednesday June 16th and that no
additional work session was needed for the budget beforehand.
b. The need for shade sails over the splash pad was discussed. It
was decided that those would be something to consider in the
future.
c. The council also discussed the need to have a work session
dealing with new rules and signage for the park associated with
the park improvements. This will happen at a later date.
Adjournment:
Councilmember Ray Evans made the motion, seconded by Councilmember
Taryn Brooks, to adjourn. All members present were in favor. Meeting
adjourned at 8:45 pm.
