DISCUSSIONS
Dog Park Proposal
David Goehner mentioned that city staff requested a pause on the efforts initiated during the May 17 meeting to
conduct surveying for a dog park to be installed in Liberty Lake. The commissioners engaged in discussion on
this topic, with members advocating that it would be a good opportunity to conduct surveys about a dog park.
Discussion also addressed the role of the Commission in providing proactive community engagement efforts that
could establish information on issues the city may want to address. David Goehner recommended that some
members of the Commission schedule to meet with city staff to discuss this.
Strategic Plan Survey
The commissioners discussed possible surveying questions and methods for getting the community more involved
in the decisions around the strategic plan. Groups such as Trutina and the schools were suggested for reach out,
as they would involve members of the community that are often missed in outreach.
Work Plan 2023
The commissioners briefly went over the current version of the 2023 work plan. No changes were suggested at
this time.
DISCUSSIONS CONTINUED:
Farmers Market Schedule & Updates
Sign up discussion for upcoming Market dates took place. Commissioners briefly voiced concern regarding the
ease of sign up for the City booth. The matter was resolved and the commissioners concluded discussion by going
over upcoming dates and volunteers.
