THE CITY OF LIBERTY LAKE
PARKS & ARTS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
MAY 16th, 2018 - 4:00 PM
CALL TO ORDER:
Jennifer Camp, Maintenance & Operations Director for the
City of Liberty Lake, called the meeting of the Parks and Arts
Commission to order at 4:04 PM on May 16th, 2018.
ROLL CALL:

AGENDA:
The minutes from the May 2nd meeting were approved.
NEW & UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
The commission took a vote for Chair & Vice Chair positions. Initially, there was a three way tie between
Laina Schutz, Tom Sahlberg, and David Himebaugh. After Commissioner Sahlberg withdrew his nomination,
the commission re-voted and it was determined that Commissioner Schutz would be the acting Chair, and
Commissioner Himebaugh would be the acting Vice Chair.
PRESENTATIONS:
Mr. Scharnetzki gave a detailed presentation to the commission regarding the possibilities of bringing art
wraps to the community as introductory art. He gave details from experience regarding costs, road blocks,
and more that the commission may want to consider while pursuing this art form.
CITIZEN COMMENTS:
Dan Dunne, a City Council Member, spoke briefly on the potential need for newer, more eye catching, golf
cart stickers. He presented this as an idea for the commission to think on.
MEETING ADJOURNMENT:
At 5:20 PM, the meeting concluded.
