THE CITY OF LIBERTY LAKE PARKS & ARTS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES DECEMBER 6TH, 2021 - 4:00 PM CALL TO ORDER: Chair Laina Schutz called the meeting of the Parks and Arts Commission to order at 4:04 PM on December 6th, 2021. ROLL CALL: Commissioner David Himebaugh Commissioner Nancy Hill Commissioner Laura Frank Adjunct Bob Schneidmiller Excused Commissioner Tom Chamberlain Adjunct Noreen Johnson Excused Commissioner Tara Cael Ops. & Maint. Director Jennifer Camp Commissioner Laina Schutz Ops. & Maint. Supervisor Trevor Ragan Administrative Assistant Tait Hunter APPROVALS: Commissioner Schutz made the motion to approve the November minutes with an adjustment made to her at- tendance status. With the adjustment requested, Commissioner Himebaugh moved to approve the minutes and Commissioner Hill seconded. The motion carried unanimously, CITIZEN COMMENTS: No comments were made at this meeting. STAFF REPORT: Jennifer Camp provided a brief Staff Report. Connie Psomas is going to be joining the commission as the new- est member at the next upcoming meeting. Winter Glow is going strong, and with recent snowfall the crews are out plowing already. Jennifer reminded the commission that Chair and Vice Chair will be voted on at the first meeting of 2022 in January. Finally, she spoke on the dog park which Council discussed at the most recent meeting. While they did discuss the project, it was ultimately left on the unfunded portion of the CFP list. NEW/ UNFINISHED BUSINESS: It was announced that there will be three open positions in 2022 for the Commission. ACTION ITEMS: Commissioner Himebaugh briefly provided the update on the Story Walk noting that the project would likely be pushed until spring and there was no new information beyond that. Commissioner Frank suggested a plaque and dedication ceremony for the Liberty Lake Together statue. It was determined that the dedication could happen within the next week or so, and it would be kept small as staff would likely be busy with winter work. Commissioner Hill met with Connor Walsh regarding the Hooptown court mural project. She outlined a schedule for possible proposal and execution should the project be approved. The commission agreed to invite Connor Walsh to a future meeting in January for further discussion. ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 4:27 PM.
